Marnix de Vries is a Dutch contemporary artist with a passion for the craft of handmade collages and upcycling. His fascination with paper and print has led him to develop a unique style, making his work distinctive and impactful.
Graduating with a Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design in the late 1990s, he currently works primarily as a digital product designer. However, he has always maintained a soft spot for analog art, with a love for the Golden Age and Pop Art. His artworks are more than just visual compositions; they invite you to see the world around you differently. With each cutout, he "paints" a larger story. But each cutout is also a story in itself. By combining this with other materials such as spray paint and paint, an interesting mixed-media layering is created.
Marnix's art is often colorful and bursts from the canvas. A feast for the eyes, which he has been creating regularly since 2012, both free work and on commission. Over time, he has won various creative competitions and branched out into other art forms, such as stencil art, abstract textures and digital art.
